As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmahtullah wa barakatuh
Hope this finds all of you sisters in the best of health and emaan, on the first day of ramadhan. Alhamdulilah.
In about 15 minutes I will be breaking my fast. Alhamdulilah.
I have to admit it wasnt as difficult as I had imagined. My mouth did get a bit dry, so i plan to drink more water between now and fajr insha'allah. Also I think I will start cooking dinner a little bit later tomorrow, because once I started cooking I think my stomach started freaking out. I think the hardest part of the whole day is this countdown to breaking fast. It does, however make me a lot more grateful for the food I have and the clean water i have to drink. I thank Allah the Almighty for helping me get through my first fast today, i know only by his will and grace was I able to do it. Hope all of your fasts are going well and remember to keep constant rememberance of Allah. I think I did tasbeeh( saying Subhan'Allah, Alhamdulilah, and Allahu Akbar 33 times each) about 4 or 5 times already today Masha'allah. I am really feeling the essence and spirit of Ramadhan. I read a juz of qur'an today and also learned a new surah, Surah Ikhlas Masha'allah! It was nice to be able to spend a day in worship with no TV, or distractions. Looking foward to tomorrow.
May Allah guide us and bless us all. Ameen
